“Perfect Cotswolds break”

If you want a perfect escape to the Cotswolds then I would highly recommend Norton Grounds. Before even arriving at the property our hosts made sure that anything we asked for was catered for – gluten free breakfast foods, good recommendation of pubs and pre-booking a return taxi for us.
When we did arrive at the property, we were greeted by Andrew, a wonderful host, who showed us to our room. And what a room. Not only did it have a feel of luxury, it was absolutely spotless. The bed is super comfy and we had a lovely night’s sleep. The bedroom and bathroom are both very spacious with the latter housing a gorgeous roll-top bath. It is a beautiful house – with a semi-private living room with open fire but having arrived in summer we spent most of our time outside – I will, however, be looking forward to coming back in the winter to enjoy that room more! The breakfast was generous and very tasty and Andrew has the perfect balance of being on hand with friendly chat and letting you enjoy your time away at the property. We are looking forward to treating ourselves to another break from London soon !!

“A Piece of Countryside Heaven”

We pulled into Norton Grounds and I , a horsewoman, was instantly won over by the horses grazing in the paddocks in front of the house.
The positive did not end there! Andrew, the owner insisted on helping us carry our bags in and upstairs to the Dairy Bank room where we spent 2 nights. The room was spacious with a large closet, en suite bath and an iron and ironing board. The view out the front of this elegant house was amazing. He assured us that we were free to use the lounge where we also ate at the elegant dining table for breakfast. Andrew asked about our plans for dinner and not only had a recommendation, but called and booked a table for us at the nearby Kings Arms in Mickleton ( which served an excellent dinner) . The following day Claire was kind enough to give me a tour of her barns and equestrian facilities which were top notch. We went to both Chipping Campden and Hidecote gardens while staying at Norton Grounds. We appreciated being out in the country and enjoyed some nice conversations with Andrew. The breakfasts were without fault , but I had to admit to being intimidated by the formal silverware and being waited on and cooked for by essentially the “lord of the manor.” Andrew took this in good form, assuring me that I was on holiday, and a guest and as such should not feel that way. He told me he enjoyed meeting my husband who is one of the only Viet Nam veterans that he has has the chance to talk to. In closing, We highly recommend Norton Grounds for a peaceful northern Cotswold base. Oh, and our second dinner arranged by Andrew, at the Ebrington Arms, was a memorable meal as well. It is an amazing pub in a small village!

“I wish I could’ve stayed longer!”

I honestly can’t think of anything I disliked about this place!

What’s not to like about this place? It’s a beautiful property in beautiful English countryside. The B&B owner was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The room was a good size, the beds were comfy, there was a folder with a comprehensive list of places to eat and local amenities which we found really helpful and there was even a Tassamo drinks machine. We also had a lovely lounge/reception room with comfy chairs and a roaring fire. Breakfast was really comprehensive (cereals, croissants, full English etc.) and really tasty. It feels like you’re in the middle of no-where but the nearest village with shops, pubs etc. is only 5 minutes by car. I feel like this review isn’t doing it justice. You’ll just have to go and check it out for yourselves!

The host, Andrew, was brilliant – friendly, highly accommodating, very personable and went out of his way to be helpful, arranging, at our request, lovely spots for our evening meals and even cleaning our dirty shoes! We loved being close to Chipping Camden and countless other delightful little villages and village pubs. The breakfasts were delicious.

“Excellent service, beautiful grounds, good location for exploring other areas in the Cotswolds.”

Not within walking distance to any places for dinner, however several options within a 5 minute drive.

The service was excellent, the property was beautiful, and it was located in a good central location for exploring other areas in the Cotswolds.

Wedding

Firstly, our wedding was the wedding of our dreams and we know we couldn’t have done it without your meticulous care and planning from start to finish! not only are you the nicest of people to deal with but you were also professional and understanding to our needs, and wasn’t afraid to say ‘No, thats not going to work’.

You have helped create a lifetime of memories for our most important day- to which we thank you!

Norton Grounds is the most beautiful settings – we, together with our friends and family felt so at home in the cottages and surroundings, nothing was to much trouble to our hosts for the weekend.
